THE Philippines' Olympic drive continues as the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Patriots' Cup opens on June 16 at SM Seaside City Cebu.
President's Cup champion Pasig, together with contenders Balanga and San Juan banner the 12-team field in the second conference with reinforcements fortifying their bids.
The Queen City of the South will host the first leg, which will be followed by SM Fairview on June 22 and SM Muntinlupa on July 6.
SM Megamall will host the fourth leg on July 13, as well as the Grand Finals on July 27.
This time, Coca-Cola is also joining forces with league organizers in this quest of continuing to rack up points before the November 1 cutoff for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The beverage company is no stranger to 3x3 basketball, supporting Mongolia as it now stands as the world no. 3 in 3x3 basketball.
"Mongolia is a force in the 3x3 basketball scene as they are definitely shoo-ins for the Olympics. Our company knows that the Philippines is a 3x3 powerhouse waiting to be unraveled. And with Chooks-to-Go, we will work hand in hand to make it to the top 24 and join an OQT," said Coca-Cola Philippines modern trade manager Ken Marvin Lumbao.
The Philippines currently sits at 28th in the world with 2,088,477 points.
League owner Ronald Mascarinas of Chooks-to-Go embraced this new partnership, saying: "This is indeed a great development not only for us but also for our local 3x3 basketball scene."
"With this partnership, we will continue to push for more top-level 3x3 events in the country."
