PASIG Chooks bowed out of the 2019 Fiba 3x3 Huaqiao International Kunshan Challenger, falling to world no. 3 Liman of Serbia, 22-12, Saturday.
The Filipinos were unable to replicate their sensational showing in Doha and lost both of its games in the group stages, going 0-2 in Pool A.
Taylor Statham helped Pasig Chooks grab an early 4-0 start before the Serbian blue bloods got their bearings, taking a 10-5 lead.
But fouls were once again the bane for the President's Cup champion, finding itself in penalty at the 4:46 mark of the game as the lead eventually grew to a 16-8 edge.
Joshua Munzon still tried to keep the fight alive for Pasig Chooks, with his two-pointer cutting the lead down to six, 17-11, but Stefan Kojic strung back-to-back points before Aleksandar Ratkov drained the game-winning deuce for Liman with 2:13 left on the clock.
Statham and Munzon both had six in the losing effort as Pasig Chooks was unable to mirror its 19-16 win over Liman back in the Doha Masters.
Pasig Chooks earlier suffered a tough 21-19 defeat to Russian side Sosnovy BorCopRosatom.
Kojic paced the Serbians with eight points, while Ratkov got five. Maksim Kovacevic added five points and five rebounds in the win to snare the top seed in the group at 2-0.
