Pasig 3x3 side playing in France for chance to qualify for Lausanne Masters

GOLD'S Gym Pasig has another challenge in its cupboard as it is set to compete in the Poitiers Challenger in France from July 5 to 6.

Currently ranked as the 26th-best 3x3 team in the world, Pasig hopes to use the France tournament as a springboard to qualify for the 2019 Fiba 3x3 World Tour Lausanne Masters in August.

The Kings, the reigning President's Cup champions, are fresh from winning the first leg of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Patriot's Cup in Cebu on Sunday after overcoming a gritty challenge from Phenom Basilan, 21-15.

Top Filipino 3x3 player Joshua Munzon will be tasked to lead Gold's Gym Pasig as he links up with Taylor Statham, Dylan Ababou, and Serbian reinforcement Nikola Pavlovic for the French tournament.

The tournament also offers a shot at redemption for the Filipinos after their forgettable campaigns in the past two Challengers, where they bowed out in pool play in both Kunshan and in Moscow.
