Ray Park collects record seven steals as he stuffs the stats sheet in blowout
    Jul 5, 2018

MANDALUYONG posted a lopsided 98-55 win over Pasig on Thursday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Datu Cup at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Bobby Ray Parks had a triple-double, finishing with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists as the El Tigre improved their record to 2-1.

Parks nearly got a quadruple-double as he had a league-record seven steals in the game for Mandaluyong, which led by as many as 50 points in the game.

The El Tigre raced to a 16-0 lead and never looked back.

Despite the lopsided win, Mandaluyong coach Mac Cuan was not entirely satisfied with their sloppy play.

“I’m happy with how we played but I’m far from satisfied,” Cuan said. “We can still improve on that. We had 24 turnovers. We missed 13 free throws. Those are areas we can still improve on. A win is a win. But we have to get better.”

The game also saw the debut of actor Xian Lim, who had six points and six rebounds for the El Tigre.

    The Pirates dropped to 0-3.
