Chris de la Paz scored 11 points, while Abdel Poutouochi had pulled down 11 rebounds and two blocks for the Heavy Bombers to start their campaign on a high note.
Raymar Jose had 18 points and 13 rebounds while Mike Tolomia added 15 points for the Tamaraws, who failed to convert on a game-winning play when Achie Inigo missed on a lay-up in the dying seconds.
