PAGADIAN City will be hosting the Mindanao leg of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup that will start on June 22, the league’s chief operating officer Rocky Chan announced on Saturday.
Chan said the league made several adjustments to the opening date due to the COVID-19 situation in Mindanao.
Similar to the Visayas leg, the Mindanao staging will be played in a bubble setup to protect the participants from the coronavirus.
“After the successful Visayas leg, ‘yung timetable, nag-adjust kami ng konti due to the current situation especially in Mindanao. It’s official. For the Mindanao leg, the inaugural season, it will be hosted by Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur,” said Chan.
“It is set on June 22, 2021. Unless of course dun sa case ngayon with regards to COVID, hopefully everything goes well. We will kick off on June 22 for the Mindanao leg,” said Chan.
Among the teams expected to batte the host squad for honors are Zamboanga City, Iligan City, Alza Alayon, Roxas City, and Kapatagan.
Mandaue ruled the Visayas leg in Alcantara, Cebu.
