OLA Adeogun had 20 points and nine rebounds and Art Dela Cruz added 16 points as San Beda over powered University of the Philippines, 96-71, on Friday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup.

Baser Amer had 10 points, five assists, and two steals for the reigning five-time NCAA champions, who bounced back hard following a stunning defeat at the hands of Centro Escolar University last May 16.

The Red Lions improved to 4-1 overall following their wire-to-wire win over the Fighting Maroons.

“This is college basketball. All the teams are well-coached and well-prepared. If you don’t come to play, any team is beatable,” said San Beda coach Jamike Jarin.

“We had our share of that and hopefully we learned from our previous loss,” Jarin added.

Diego Dario and Paul Desiderio scored 14 points each for the Maroons, who fell to 1-5.
