NATIONAL University debuted its three new recruits in keeping its unbeaten slate with a 75-69 win over Letran in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup juniors division.
Jayson Puray, a recruit from Bacolod Tay Tung High School, had six points and five rebounds.
Justin Gaviola, discovered in the NBTC regionals, had six points and three assists for NU, while Ryan Calamaan, a standout at Western Visayas in the Palarong Pambansa, had four points, five rebounds, and a block.
Cyril Gonzales finished with 13 points, while Paul Manalang chipped in 12 points for NU in the victory.
Russel Aniban had 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists for the Squires, who dropped to 1-1.
