NATIONAL University nipped San Sebastian, 70-65, on Wednesday to improve its mark to 2-1 in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.
With former NU cager Bobby Ray Parks in attendance for parts of the game, the Bulldogs staved off the Stags to bounce back from their loss to Perpetual Help over the weekend.
Matthew Salem led NU with 11 points on 3-of-7 from three-point range, while Chino Mosqueda added 10 points for the Bulldogs, who also got a game-high nine rebounds from Issa Gaye.
Michael Calisaan finished with 19 points, while Alvin Capobres added 15 for the Stags, who dropped to 1-2.
