NATIONAL University-B started its campaign with an 88-68 victory over Adamson-B, 88-68, in the 8th Pilipinas Chinese Amateur Basketball League Freego Cup on Monday at the Philippine Buddhacare Academy Gym in Quezon City.
John Clemente had 25 points, eight rebounds, and three assists to earn Freego Best Player of the game honors as the Bullpups-B squad featuring several members of the UAAP champion team whipped the Baby Falcons.
Jairuz Torre finished with 16 points to lead Jose Rizal University-B to a 62-60 win over Hope Christian High School.
Brian Lacap had 21 points and 12 rebounds as University of Santo Tomas beat Lyceum-B, 88-80, and Jasper Salenga finished with 14 points, six rebounds, and two blocks to lead Mapua-Malayan-B to a 93-43 win over University of the East-B.
