IT may take at least two more weeks before Rhenz Abando can give a more definite time table on his return to Anyang Jung Kwan Jang.
Abando, who joined his Korean Basketball League (KBL) club in Manila ahead of their East Asia Super League (EASL) clash with TNT Tropang Giga on Wednesday, gave an update on his injuries and ongoing recovery.

"Right now, mas okay na ako. Parang almost two weeks na akong nagpapahinga. Hindi ko pa masasabi kung kailan pero kailangan ko pa ulit ng two weeks para magpa-kondisyon," said Abando.
Although Abando declined to go into detail about the injuries he suffered in a bad fall after a collision with Goyang import Chinanu Onuaku, reports by Korean media outlets bared the Gilas Pilipinas player suffered concussions, a sprained wrist, and fractures in the third and fourth lumbar vertebrae.

The former Letran and University of Sto. Tomas star said he will undergo more tests upon his return to Korea.
"Pagbalik namin ng Korea, magpapa-CT scan pa ako ulit and du'n ko masasabi kung kailan ako makakabalik," he added.
Abando 'still in pain'
Citing persistent pain due to his injuries, a return as early as January has been ruled out by Abando.
"Sa ngayon, medyo masakit pa rin eh lalo na kapag bumubuhat ako nang mabigat or may magagalaw, na-squeeze ko 'yung likod ko so sumasakit pa rin siya."
Abando added: "Also du'n sa flight [namin to Manila], hindi ako masyado [makagalaw] kasi medyo masakit pa rin."
Although Abando and Anyang can breathe a sigh of relief after any long-term injury was ruled out, the forthcoming weeks will be crucial in his recovery.
