Vance Walberg, father of dribble drive motion offense, to hold Manila coaching clinic
Vance Walberg is considered as the coach who developed the full court 2-2-1 pressure defense, which was the driving force behind the dribble drive offense.

VANCE Walberg, considered  the father of the dribble drive motion offense, will hold a coaching clinic in Manila from June 18 to 19 at the Kerry Sports Manila in Shangri-La at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City.

Walberg will discuss in detail the dribble drive motion offense for interested coaches when his Southeast Asia-wide clinic comes to Manila in the event organized by Hoops Coaches International.

Walberg has 17 years of coaching experience beginning with the Clovis West High School and Fresno City College prior to coaching Pepperdine University, University of Massachusetts, Denver Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers. He was recently an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings.

He is also considered as the coach who developed the full court 2-2-1 pressure defense, which was the driving force behind the dribble drive offense.

A payment of P5,000 per coach who pre-registered and paid online, and P6,000 for on-site registrants is required to join the clinic sponsored by Philippine Airlines, Malaysia Dragons, Blackwater, Kerry Sports Manila, Mossimo, Discovery Suites, Gfoxx International Rhyno Outfit Timepieces Philippines, Bellagio Spa, and Gerry’s Grill.

"Coaches won’t need to fly to the United States to get this clinic. BCAP also gave the blessing to this clinic since it’s a service to the Filipino coaches," Hoops Coaches International managing partner Ariel Vanguardia said.
