St. Stephen’s HS outlasts Philadelphia to gain Filipino-Chinese cagefest semis

ST. Stephen’s High School outlasted Philadelphia High School, 47-39, to advance to the semifinals of the developmental division of the 12th Filipino Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation at the CKSC gym in Manila.

St. Stephen’s, the top seed in Group ll, will face Grace Christian College, which advanced following a 48-37 victory over Pace Academy.

Chiang Kai Shek College scored an 82-70 win over Jubilee Christian Academy to top Group I. St. Jude Catholic School trounced MGC New Life Christian Academy, 73-39.

Carlo Lim erupted for 31 points as Jubilee Christian Academy beat Philippine Sun Yat Sen High, 78-71, to force sudden death.

St. Peter de Apostle School entered the semis with a 92-71 win over Philippine Chen Kuang High School.

St. Mary’s Academy College of Valenzuela drew big games from Karl Maque and Jonas Banag to beat PCHS, 59-47, while Pace clobbered Uno High, 77-38, in the tournament sponsored by Freego Jeans, World Balance and MEC Networks with Molten as official ball.
