Ramil Tero stars as St. Clare edges Lyceum to claim top spot after Milcu Got Skills eliminations

ST. CLARE College beat Lyceum-Gray, 45-41, to clinch the top spot in Group A of the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard 25-under basketball tournament at the Enderun Colleges gym.

Ramil Tero had 12 points and five rebounds for the Saints, who ended the elimination round with a 7-1 win-loss record.

St. Clare actually ended in a tie with Lyceum-Gray but the Saints took first place by virtue of the win over the Pirates entering the quarterfinal round.

Earvin Marvilla had 19 points and seven rebounds as Enderun Colleges beat College of Saint Benilde, 53-51, taking third place with a 5-2 card in Group A.

In Group B, Adamson beat Lyceum-Red, 52-42, for a 5-1 win-loss record. The Falcons are now tied with Arellano for first place heading to their match on Saturday for the No. 1 seed in the bracket.

In the 13-under division, Kenji Canete had 14 points as Chiang Kai Shek College beat Bataan Warriors, 51-48, for second place with an 8-1 record with one game to go in the elimination round.

University of Santo Tomas won over Bataan Warriors, 57-38, in the tournament sanctioned by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and supported by Milcu, Kawasaki Motors, Gatorade, LGR, Slam, Mighty Sports, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Secret Fresh Ronac, Coach Athletic Trainers’ Tape, Magic 89.9, Enderun, and Lyceum.
