St. Louis College, STI Malolos, St. Joseph College, St. Robert's reach NBTC Division 2 national finals

ST. LOUIS College, STI Malolos, St. Joseph College, and St. Robert's International Academy ruled their respective SM-NBTC League Regional Championships presented by Freego after hurdling separate rivals recently.

St. Louis defeated Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran, 66-36, to capture the Central Visayas title at the Hoops Dome in Lapu Lapu City with Matthew Paras being named as the regional player of the game after scoring 16 points in the finale.

Klent Oniel Bernal scored 26 points as STI Malolos overcame Pampanga High School-San Fernando, 70-68, to claim the Central Luzon title at the Systems Plus Foundation gym in Angeles, Pampanga.

In another Central Luzon final held at the Barangay San Jose Covered Court in Concepcion, Tarlac, Roland Basa finished with 27 points to lift St. Joseph College to a 99-97 win over Don Bosco Technical Institute-Tarlac.

St. Robert's, meanwhile, took home the Western Visayas crown after beating College of St. John's, 75-57. Kevin Louis Barranco added 15 points for St. Robert's.

In capturing the regional title, St. Louis, STI-Malolos, St. Joseph, and St. Robert's secured spots in the SM-NBTC League National Championships presented by Freego Division 2 next month at the Mall of Asia Arena where they will take on fellow regional winners in the competition.
