CEBU CITY – Former two-time Cesafi MVP Enrico Llanto hit two pressure-packed free-throws with just seconds remaining to lift Team SAGBAF past the ASPA-Bleachers BBQ, 16-14, in the championship game of the Open division in the Cebu leg of the Under Armour 3x3 Southeast Asia 2017 Tournament on Sunday at the City Sports Club Cebu basketball courts.

Llanto, a former standout of the University of San Carlos, was awarded two free-throws after he fished a foul off ASPA’s Rory Paspie during a scramble with only 14 seconds remaining on the clock.

The two points completed SAGBAF’s comeback from a 5-9 deficit with five minutes left in the game.

Other members of the team were former Southwestern University guard Francis Ortega and athletic forwards Daryle Tan and Jose Acha. They went home with P35,000 worth of Under Armour gift certificates.

The runners-up ASPA was composed of Jason Chan, Vernon Anfone, Leigh Dixon and Paspie and got P20,000 worth of gift certificates.

Meanwhile, the 18-under division title was won by the University of Cebu after they upset the favored University of the Visayas, 15-14.
