Australia's Ryan Burns, Filipino coach Ariel Vanguardia to handle Splash basketball camp
Young cagers get to train under Malaysia Dragons coach Ariel Vanguardia.

AUSTRALIAN coach Ryan Burns will oversee the Splash International Hoops basketball camp set April 9 to 30 at the Philadelphia School in Quezon City.

Asean Basketball League champion coach Ariel Vanguardia of the Westports Malaysia Dragons will also be among the mentors at the 10-session camp.

“This is my first camp in Manila so I plan to include the current development trends being implemented in Australia. An emphasis on game-sense development while making decisions under pressure,” said Burns, a former Australian juniors coach who previously had camps for Australia Institute of Sport.

Burns is also a Jr. NBA Malaysia coach and former national head coach of Solomon Island.

“Basketball is a fun sport so we plan to enhance the enjoyment of the athletes by creating a positive and supportive environment,” said Burns, whose camp is also supported by Rhyno Outfit, One Way, and Ethan’s Cafe. To register, call 0917-8313064.
