LA Salle Greenhills star Ricci Rivero provided one of the highlights of the Slam Rising Stars Classic in Team Punks' 103-98 victory over Team Hype on Sunday night.

Action in the game featuring the country's best high school players was getting dreary when the high-flying Rivero cut loose for a two-handed dunk, thrilling the crowd at the Gatorade Hoops Center.

Rivero, who is set to join his brother Prince in La Salle's varsity squad next season, later deflected the credit.

"'Yung dunk na 'yun ang nagbigay sa akin ng strength si Papa Jesus," he said. "Kasi start pa lang ng game I asked for his guidance na siya ang maglaro for me."

Rivero, who also ruled the slam-dunk contest in the last NBTC All-Stars, finished with 10 points in Team Punks' 103-98 win over Team Hype.
