LETRAN beat Emilio Aguinaldo College, 72-64, on Wednesday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup.

Rey Nambatac had 15 points, Mark Cruz added 14 points, while Jomari Sollano had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights, who evened their record to 2-2.

It was a close game in the first half as Letran couldn’t find an answer to EAC’s zone defense and trailed, 38-39, at intermission before connecting on their outside shots including three triples in the second half.

“Nung halftime, ang usapan namin is paano kami makakahanap ng butas sa 1-2-2 defense nila,” said Letran coach Aldin Ayo.

“Given na ’yung maliliit kami kaya we have to shoot from the outside and use our speed,” said Ayo.

EAC suffered its third loss in four games.
