RENZO Navarro had 19 points as San Sebastian defeated Colegio De San Lorenzo, 90-85, on Thursday to top the National Capital Region qualifiers of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) at the Jose Rizal University gym.

Navarro had 10 points in the final quarter, hitting crucial shots as the Stags earned a spot in the PCCL Elite Eight in February.

The Stags join UAAP champion Ateneo and second placer La Salle, NCAA titleholder San Beda and runner-up Lyceum, University of the Visayas, Naga College Foundation and Holy Trinity College in the eight-team final to determine the national champion.

Navarro hit five of his six three-point attempts, and broke a 69-69 deadlock with a three. He it another triple that gave the Stags an 81-76 cushion.

Jayson David wound up with 16 points, while Allyn Bulanadi had 14 points for the Egay Macaraya-coached Stags.

Soulemane Chabi Yo had 26 points and 17 rebounds, while John Formento added 24 points on seven threes for the UCBL champion Griffins.
