THE Philippines Men’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team is getting a major assist from Gilas Pilipinas benefactor Chooks To Go and Gold’s Gym.

The partnership was made official last Friday, a big boost to the Pilipinas Warriors as they prepare for the 2018 Asian Para Games set in Jakarta from Oct. 6 to 13.

Chooks will be supplying the team with recovery meals while Gold’s Gym gave every member of the team an elite membership – this includes the use of their basketball court in Mandaluyong.

Bount Agro Ventures Inc. president Ronald Mascarinas first saw the team play in the Asean Para Games last year, with the Philippine team bagging bronze.

“When we saw the Warriors during the2017 Asean Para Games in Malaysia, we asked ourselves, why not support them as well?” said Mascarinas.

“So me and Mylene Dayrit of Gold’s Gym got in touch with them to help support the Warriors just like what we do in Gilas,” he added.
