JUMBO Plastic Linoleum beat Mighty Sports, 89-87, in overtime in Game Two marred by a post-game commotion in the dugout on Wednesday night at the Marikina Sports Center.

Mighty Sports import Bright Akhuetie was seen charging to confront someone just outside the Jumbo Plastic dugout as both teams as well as security tried to pacify the Mighty import.

Mighty Sports coach Mike Fermin claimed Akhuetie saw red claiming a Jumbo Plastic player poked him in the buttocks area which he said is 'out of bounds' under his religious belief.

The incident happened during the overtime period, Akhuetie told SPIN.ph after the game.

“Kasi di ba sinundot si Akhuetie sa puwet. Sabi ni Bright, bawal sa religion nila ‘yun. You don’t touch someone’s private part. Sabi nga niya, that’s out of bounds na,” Fermin said.

“Sabi ko sa kanya, they’ll do everything to piss you off pero tama rin naman niya, never siya nanakit sa tournament,” said Fermin.

Jumbo Plastic coach Stevenson Tiu, meanwhile, claimed no one from his players did anything to the Perpetual Help standout.

“Sumugod. Pinagsisipa nga ‘yung pinto. Ewan ko kung ano kinagagalit niya,” said Tiu.

Tiu said Akhuetie nearly succeeded in entering the dugout.

“Half body niya nakapasok. Tinulak lang namin palabas. Sumugod siya, I don’t know why. Nagsasaya kami, nagpe-prayer kami. Bigla siyang pumasok, sinipa ‘yung pinto. I don’t know the reason (why),” said Tiu.

Tiu assured that he will always try to control his players.

“On our side, I can assure you, I’ll control my players. Pero not this way na sila ang sumusugod. Hindi sa amin mangagaling ‘yung gulo defintely,” said Tiu.
