SELECT Nike+ members and media had the chance to test the mettle of the Kyrie 3, NBA champion Kyrie Irving’s latest signature shoe, by going through the ‘Cut Out of Nowhere’ experience held last Saturday afternoon at the Treston College Gym in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Former Gilas Pilipinas and now Ateneo Men’s basketball team head coach Tab Baldwin conducted the training for the participants in a two-hour long session that consisted of basketball drills and skills challenges.

The session enabled the Nike+ members to embark on their own basketball journeys, while channeling Irving’s basketball style, to become better versions of themselves.

Ateneo Blue Eagles Thirdy Ravena, Aaron Black, brothers Mike and Matt Nieto, and Jolo Mendoza joined Baldwin in running the training session that focused on improving the players’ speed, dribbling, footwork and coordination.

The intense basketball clinic made the participants go through drills to improve speed and reaction time while wearing the latest signature shoe from Nike.

With speed being the main focus of the Kyrie 3, everyone had an opportunity to experience how to move, cut, and change direction on the court in the same way that the Cleveland Cavaliers’ guard does on a nightly basis. The session was a special opportunity to have their guard skills honed by one of the country’s top mentors and collegiate players.
