ROBERT Bolick and Donald Tankoua lifted San Beda to a 79-77 victory over hard-fighting Technological Institute of the Philippines on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena to advance into the next round of the 2015 National Collegiate Championship.

Bolick, a former La Salle cager who is taking residency for San Beda for the next NCAA season, had 13 points, making three of four shots from three-point range and coming up with four steals.

Tankoua had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Lions in the win over the Engineers in the tournament also known as the Philippine Collegiate Champions League.

San Beda will face Letran in the semifinals on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan in a rematch of the NCAA Season 91 finals.

The Red Lions survived a huge fightback from TIP, which recovered from 22 points down to close within single digits in the fourth quarter but fell just short.

Jemuel Namocatcat had 17 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, while Jorey Napoles added 15 points for the NCBL team Engineers, who were making their first-ever Elite Eight appearance.
