REYGER Dimaunahan scored 14 points including a huge triple in the fourth lift De La Salle Lipa to a 62-60 win over Rex Dei Academy-Laguna on Thursday in the Divison 2 title game of the NBTC National Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The nephew of former PBA cager Aries Dimaunahan hit a 3-pointer with 3:05 left to increase a one-point lead to four.

Stephen Javier had 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Raphael Dimayuga also had a double-double with 11 and 10 for La Salle Lipa.

Dimaunahan is said to have caught the attention of high school teams in Metro Manila, particularly Chiang Kai Shek.

John Barba had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Laguna.
