Evan Nelle leaves Melecio in the shade, lifts North to victory in NBTC All-Star Game

EVAN Nelle took over in the second half to lift North to a 107-95 win over South on Wednesday night in the NBTC All-Star Game Division 1 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Nelle scored 14 of his 16 points after the break to help North overcome a halftime deficit against South, 48-54.

The San Beda Red Cubs star, named Finals MVP of NCAA Season 91 last year, was adjudged the All-Star Game MVP following his sterling performance in the second half.

Nelle spoiled the efforts of South’s Aljun Melecio of De La Salle-Zobel, who led all scorers with 26 markers.

Nelle will next see action for the Red Cubs on Thursday when they face National University in the NBTC Division 1 finals.
