REYGER Dimaunahan put on a scoring clinic as he towed Team Tolomia past Team Ravena, 69-59, in the NBTC Division 2 All-Star Game and bagged MVP of the Game honors on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The 16-year-old La Salle Lipa guard, nephew of former PBA pro Aries Dimaunahan, was relentless in scoring 26 points, 20 in the first half, to lead the squad coached by former Far Eastern University cagers Mike Tolomia and Russell Escoto.

“Derecho ko lang po kapag kaya. Huwag po susuko kung lamang ang kalaban. Hangga’t may oras, laban lang,” said the 5-foot-9 Grade 9 guard when asked about the instructions of Tolomia and Escoto.

Dimaunahan, who has scored 30 or more points in the preliminaries for La Salle Lipa, will next hope to bring the Division 2 crown to his team when the Batangas side faces Rex Dei Academy of Laguna on Thursday morning at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Kevin Plaza and Sean Aguilera had 11 and 10 points respectively for Team Ravena, coached by two-time UAAP MVP Kiefer Ravena.
