Miranda stars as Baby Falcons nip Malabon BC in Milcu 'Hard To Guard' caging
The Adamson Baby Falcons celebrate their victory over Malabon BC.

ADAMSON nipped a tough Malabon BC squad, 61-56, in the continuation of the Milcu Hard To Guard 14-under division at the Philippine Buddhacare Academe Gym.

Led by high-scoring Carl Miranda, the Baby Falcons outlasted a team bannered by three players who tallied double-digit scores.

Miranda carried the team on his shoulders and his 20-point output, including a near perfect shooting from the charity stripe, was enough to carry the Baby Falcons to victory.

Miranda hit 10-of-11 shots from the free throw area and capped his impressive performance with six rebounds and three assists.

Malabon BC was paced by Aldous Torculas, who had 15 markers. John Carlo Sison and Jordan Fernando tallied 10 apiece.

In the 17-under division, Angelicum defeated Lourdes School of Quezon City, 68-44, in this tournament presented by Got Skills, which is now in Season 5 and Season 13. The event is also sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and supported by BTV, Gerry’s Grill, LGR, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, FMR, and Gatorade.

Miranda shattered the game’s last deadlock at 51-all with a pair of free throws then picked up another foul from Sison in the 3:07 mark to push Adamson ahead, 55-51.

With his team leading by one, Miranda knocked in a jumper to push his team ahead, 57-54, with still 1:33 left.
