MANILA West completed a sweep of its matches in the preliminaries with a 21-14 win over Manila South on Saturday in the 2015 Fiba 3x3 World Tour Manila Masters at the Robinsons Place in Manila.

Terrence Romeo again stood out for Manila West in the victory over a much-younger side from the South composed of high school players from Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.

Manila West will next face Longshi of China in the quarterfinals on Sunday, putting it on course for a possible all-Filipino semifinal with the Calvin Abueva-led Manila North, which will face Kobe of Japan in the final eight.

Romeo said they were careful not to be too complacent against Manila South.

“Dapat hindi kami mag-relax pero hindi rin maiwasan. Ang mahalaga, nanalo kami,” said Romeo.

Manila West won its first outing against Auckland, 21-18.
