Ryan Wetherell shows the way as Laguna Busa Warriors down Mighty Bulacan State U in FBA

RYAN Wetherell scored 32 points to lead Laguna Busa Warriors to a 106-93 win over Malalos Mighty Bulacan State University in the Filsports Basketball Association Unity Cup recently at the Alonte Sports Complex in Biñan, Laguna.

Wetherell, who played college ball at University of Southern California and California State University Los Angeles, lifted the Nic Belasco-coached Warriors to their third win in nine outings, tying the Mighty BulSu for fifth spot in the team standings.

Metro Racal Autocenter Artemis earlier beat Quezon City-University of the Philippines Diliman, 81-78, to clinch a semifinal berth.

Jason Ibay tallied 26 points, while Marte Gil added 21 for Metro Racal, which stayed in second with a 5-4 win-loss slate.

Levi Hernandez contributed 27 points as Pampanga Foton Tornadoes downed Antipolo Wang’s, 95-93, to cement their hold of first place with an 8-1 record.
