Quiet night for Kobe Paras as Creighton cruises past North Carolina State to gain Paradise Jam final

CREIGHTON came up with a huge second half to cruise past North Carolina State, 112-94, on Sunday (Monday, Manila time) and book a place in the Paradise Jam final in the US Virgin Islands.

Cole Huff led the way for the Bluejays, scoring 20 points on 4 of 7 shooting and pulling down 10 rebounds.

Khyri Thomas had 16 points and Marcus Thomas added 15 as the Bluejays scored their fourth win in as many games in the NCAA season.

Freshman Kobe Paras of the Philippines did not attempt a shot in two minutes of action for the Bluejays, who led by as many as 24 points.

The Bluejays set up a title showdown with Mississippi, which defeated Saint Joseph’s, 81-68, in the other semifinal in the eight-team tournament.

Terry Henderspn led the Wolfpack with 28 points. It was North Carolina State's first loss in four games.

North Carolina will play Saint Joseph's in the battle for third place.

In other games, Duke reached the final of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament with a 75-65 victory over Rhode Island, while Kentucky defeated Duquesne, 93-59 in the Bluegrass Showcase.
