Kiefer Ravena back in country to complete Mighty side bound for Dubai invitational
Kiefer Ravena is back to play for Mighty Sports in Dubai.

THE final piece in Mighty Sports' campaign in the upcoming Dubai International Basketball Championship is finally here as Kiefer Ravena arrived to join the powerhouse side.

Spending time in the US to hone his skills as a developmental player with NBA D-League side Texas Legends, the two-time UAAP MVP made it just in time to put in a couple of practices with the team before it leaves on Thursday for the February 18 to 25 showpiece.

The little time that Ravena will be training with the squad since joining the practices last Saturday will be crucial, considering he had zero preparations with the squad prior to its stint in the Merlion Cup last year.

"Ito kahit papaano naka-practice ako. Back in Merlion, hindi talaga e so my adjustments during that tournament had to be in-game adjustments," Ravena said.

"Pero kasama talaga yun. Kasi pag professional ka na, hindi mo alam kung saan ka mapupunta. Sa college, you are assured of five years ... yung mga ganitong experience, you have to be ready for every scenario," he added.

Despite being busy in chasing his NBA dream in the States, 'The Phenom' said he can't say no to flag and 'family.'

"It's more than just the relationship of being a player playing under an organization," Ravena said of the team also backed by Scratch It and Rain or Shine.

"With sila Boss (Mighty Sports owner) Caesar [Wongchuking], malaking experience ito sa akin and representing the country as well in international tournaments."
