KEVIN will sit out Game Six of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals after suffering a possible ACL tear on his right knee on Sunday night.

The initial finding was made when Alas went to renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. George Canlas on Monday morning. Additional tests will be done on the injured knee, including an MRI, this afternoon.

If the findings hold true, the fourth-year playmaker out of Letran could be out for the next eight months.

"Initial diagnosis of Doc Canlas ACL tear (8 months out). Have scheduled MRI test for further analysis," said the son of Phoenix coach Louie Alas in a text message.

An official result of the MRI test done on the young Alas later on revealed a comp;ete ACL tear on is right knee.

Alas went down with the injury with less than a minute gone in Game Five at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, which the Road Warriors lost, 87-78, to trail the best-of-seven series, 3-2.

With only a day's rest in between, the heady point guard is expected to skip Tuesday's 7 p.m. match a virtual do-or-die for the Road Warriors.
