JUSTIN Brownlee seems to have been itching to return to Barangay Ginebra that he’s seeing action anywhere he can get.

The resident Gin Kings import, who’s moonlighting for Alab Pilipinas, lived up the #Ballislife mantra as he was seen playing some impromptu 1-on-1 street ball with some kid a few days ago in video that went viral recently.

“I just saw a couple of kids, young guys playing while driving and I just said, ‘Would you mind me joining,’ and they said, ‘yeah come on,’” Brownlee related after watching the Gin Kings’ 100-92 triple-overtime win over Rain or Shine in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday night.

“I think they don't know who's in the car but when I came out, they figured it out,” he added.

Putting the ball through a makeshift hoop that’s attached to a wall way below the standard 10-foot height, Brownlee effortlessly dunked on his younger foe a handful of times.

“Yeah, a couple of posters you know, yeah a couple of posters,” the 6-foot-5 American forward said with a grin.

Brownlee pointed out, though, that he barely won, 3-2.

“The kid, he got some game,” the Gin Kings Governors’ Cup hero said. “He was up for the challenge. I was possibly up the whole game but I just got lucky.”

“I'm looking forward for him in the PBA,” he added. “The kid's fine.”

On Friday night, Brownlee was back at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, but as a spectator in the Gin Kings’ gruelling battle against the E-Painters for their playoff spot.

“Every time I see Ginebra go out and play, man, it is just a good feeling,” Brownlee said. “Of course, I have played with those guys the past couple of years and I definitely love to play with these guys back in the court.”
