Justin Brownlee drops season-high 36 as Alab edges CLS Knights to bag back-to-back wins

JUSTIN Brownlee exploded with a season-high 36 points as Tanduay Alab Pilipinas beat CLS Knights, 92-87, on Saturday night in the Asean Basketball League at the GOR CLS Kertajaya in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Brownlee was a force offensively against the Indonesian side as Alab won their second consecutive game and go 5-4 in the standings. He also had eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals as Alab has now won five of its last six games.

The 29-year-old Brownlee sizzled early with 18 points for Alab in the first quarter for a 29-18 lead.

Renaldo Balkman had 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Bobby Ray Parks Jr. had 14 points for Alab, who were only holding a 69-67 lead at the end of the third period.

Brian Williams had 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Sandy Kurniawan had 19 points in a gallant effort by the Knights, who fell to 1-7, losing their seventh straight contest.
