JORDAN Clarkson expressed his support for Gilas Pilipinas with his visit to the team this weekend.

In a press conference on Saturday at the Shangri-La The Fort, Clarkson said he would have loved to be on the court with the Gilas Pilipinas team for the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Just being here to support, I want to be with the team,” said Clarkson. “I’m still on the outside looking in. I want to be there on the court to compete with them, but I have a lot of trust and confidence in them that they can get it done,” said Clarkson.

Clarkson is attending Saturday’s Gilas Pilipinas practice, a closed-door session, at the Kerry’s Gym inside the Shangri-La Hotel where Andray Blatche is also expected to attend.

Also in the press conference by Nike, Clarkson also bared he surprised a kid named Jordan in his first day back in Manila by spending time with him.

“I got a chance to hang out with him, play (NBA)2K. I had fun. He was shocked (to see me). He didn’t say anything. It was cool. It was a nice experience,” said Clarkson.
