THE Spurs overcame a sluggish start, rallying in the second half to beat the lowly Portland Trail Blazers, 110-94, on Friday in San Antonio (Saturday, Manila time).
The Blazers held a double-digit lead early before the Spurs rallied and took control under four minutes left in the third, 67-69, on a Manu Ginobili triple.
Jonathon Simmons came off the bench to score 19 points on 5 of 12 shooting as the Spurs made it four straight wins.
Danny Green scored 18 points on 6 of 9 shooting, while Tony Parker matched the output, making 7 of 15 field goal attempts while issuing five assists.
The Spurs notched their 27th win in 33 games.
CJ McCollum led the Blazers with 29 points, while Maurice Harkless added 12 points.
Allen Crabbe came up with 11 points for the Blazers, who absorbed their 21st loss in 35 games.
