R. Lapid's bounces back with victory over erstwhile unbeaten Road Warriors in MCBL
Jamal Thomas and the FEU NRMF squad score a win over R. Lapid's, which bounces back with a big victory over NLEX-SCTEX.  

IMPORT Francis Batouzulele posted a double-double as R. Lapid’s/Tito Rex downed erstwhile unbeaten NLEX-SCTEX, 92-88, on Saturday in the Marikina City Basketball League at the Marikina Sports Center.

Batouzulele scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as R. Lapid’s/Tito Rex bounced back from a loss to FEU NRMF-Cars.

Japz Bautista added 15 markers, Ryan Costelo scored 11, while Charles Calano and Argel Mendoza chipped in 10 apiece for R. Lapid’s/Tito Rex.

The Road Warriors, led by Ola Adeogun and former PBA player Byron Villarias, saw its five game win streak end.

Villarias was held to just 15 markers while Adeogun struggled against Batouzulele and wound up with only nine points.

FEU NRMF-Cars got a double-double performance from reinforcement Dionte Ferguson, who had 14 points and 11 boards in the 107-95 triumph over R. Lapid’s.

Former pro Roider Cabrera had 11 points, including three from beyond the arc, while Archie Inigo added 10.
