Jan Auditor giving good account of himself after switch from UC to Cobras camp
Veteran Jan Auditor is pleased to bring veteran toughness and good numbers to the Cobras.

JAN Auditor is giving a good account of himself with new team Southwestern University, averaging over 11 points per game in three outings in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup.

The 6-foot-1 guard, who won a Cesafi title with University of Cebu with now PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo and Blackwater guard Brian Heruela, recently moved to rebuilding SWU and the switch is proving to be a good decision.

Auditor scored 16 to help the Cobras take a 73-60 victory over University of the Philippines and is expected to deliver anew as they battle University of the East on Friday at the Arena in San Juan.

“When I transferred to SWU, I was nervous but when I played and practiced with them, parang nabigla ako kasi di ko inakala na magugustuhan ko pala yung system ni Coach Yayoy (Alcoseba),” said Auditor after the team’s early morning practice session over at the Ronac Center in San Juan.

"And sa tulong ni Coach Mike (Reyes), mas na-improve ko yung playing style ko."

But while he been quick to adapt to SWU’s system, Auditor said the decision was not easy to make.

“Before leaving UC I asked permission from my coaches and especially UC coach Baldomero Estenzo. It was a heartbreaking talk but I wanted something new. I respect the UC Community and I am thankful for all the support and chances they gave to me,” said Auditor.

For now, Auditor is enjoying the last ride of his collegiate basketball career.

“For me it’s not difficult to play with this team because all the players are working and I enjoy their company. They push me to bring out the best in me and it boosts my confidence.”
