THE Philippines opens its gold medal bid in the Southeast Asian Games men’s basketball competition on June 10 against Indonesia at the OCBC Arena in Singapore.

The Gilas cadets will open their Group A campaign against the Indonesians a day before the formal opening of the multi-sport conclave on June 9, based on the schedule released by SEA Games organizers.

The Philippines, coming off a title victory in the Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) Championship last week at the same stadium in Singapore, takes on Malaysia the following day before playing Timor Leste on June 12 to wrap up the preliminaries.
