CKSC, Adamson top HDBL Freego Kids Cup elims, on track for title showdown
Adamson Baby Falcons and CKSC Blue Dragons ruled the 15-Under and 12-Under divisions, respectively, of the Freego Kids Cup.

CHIANG Kai Shek College and Adamson sent two teams each to the semis after dominating the elims in the 3rd Headstart Developmental Basketball League (HDBL) Freego Kids Cup held recently at the SGS gym in Quezon City.

Bannered by Christian Dunca, Enzo King and Miguel Dosayla, the CKS Blue Dragons topped the 12-Under division after winning all of their eight matches while the Baby Falcons, drawing big games from Jeff Mailim, Ahmad Hanapi, and John Escalante posted six wins in seven games to emerge on top of the 15-U of the event also sponsored by AXA Philippines, World Balance, and Duralite.

Adamson-C also advanced to the semis despite absorbing an 85-68 beating at the hands of Maestro at the close of the elims. It wound up with a 3-4 mark,

However, only one team from Adamson will advance to the final as both Baby Falcons squads are pitted against each other in the semis. Fighting for the other final slot are the Blue Dragons (5-2) and the San Sebastian Staglets (5-3).

Drawing inspired games from Allian Katigbak and JL Salinas, the Philippine Elite A finished second with a 6-2 card in the 12-U. Joining CKSC and PH Elite A are PH Elite B (6-3) and San Sebastian (5-3).

In the 12-U semis, CKSC collides with SSC while the other finals berth will be contested by two PH Elite squads.
