Perpetual Help routs PCCr for second straight win in Fr. Martin Cup Open

PERPETUAL Help downed Philippine College of Criminology, 82-66, for its second win in as many games in the 12th Fr. Martin Cup Collegiate Open at the Far Eastern University gym.

The Altas took the solo lead in Group B with recently-appointed coach Nic Omorogbe calling the shots.

AJ Coronel scored 18 points and Daryl Singontiko had 17 for the Altas.

“Our game was pretty good. We came out ready. For us, winning this is a big thing after coming out of the last NCAA season not making it to the Final Four,” said Omorogbe, whose squad beat University of the East, 78-76, two weeks ago in the opener.

Rocky Antonares had 15 points including the go-ahead basket with 48 seconds left in the fourth as Philippine Merchant Marine School beat FEU, 70-68, in Group A action.

Richard Escoto had 14 points for the Tamaraws.
