Foton looks to tighten grip on second spot as it battles Jumbo Plastic in PCBL

FOTON eyes its third win as it takes on Jumbo Plastic on Wednesday in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup at the Marikina Sports Center. 

The Toplander hold a 2-1 record and sit in second spot behind undefeated Mighty Sports (4-0).

The Linoleum Giants have an even 2-2 win-loss record, tied for third with Sta. Lucia.

Jumbo Plastic and Foton clash at 5 p.m. followed by the game between SCTEX and Supremo Lex at 7 p.m.

Jumbo Plastic is led by Founders Cup Finals Most Valuable Player Jeff Viernes with backcourt partner James Martinez, a former PBA player, and also has JR Taganas and Nigerian import Allwell Oraeme.

Byaheng SCTEX downed Euro-Med, 87-78, before the Holy Week break and is eyeing a second straight win.

“Hindi pa gaanong magkakakilala yung mga players. But we expect them to be better in the coming games as soon as ma-familiarize sila on how we do things,” said SCTEX coach Adonis Tierra.
