FEU Tamaraws down Lyceum Pirates to stay unbeaten in U25 Summer Classic

FAR Eastern University beat Lyceum, 87-62, on Saturday in the Smart City Hoops Under-25 Summer Classic at the Greenhills West court in San Juan.

Alec Stockton had 15 points, four assists, and two steals, while Joseph Nunag had 14 points for the Tamaraws, who stayed unbeaten after four games

“If you noticed, I gave exposure to our guys who were our bench players a season ago. This is their opportunity to prove to me if they want to be part of the rotation,” said FEU coach Olsen Racela.

Richard Escoto and Achie Inigo had 13 and 12 points respectively for FEU.

FEU looks to book an outright finals berth when it faces University of the Philippines on Thursday.

Casper Pericas had a game-high 20 points for the Pirates, who remained winless in four games.

Ateneo beat College of Saint Benilde, 84-48.

Jolo Mendoza had 13 points, while Anton Asistio had 12 points for the Blue Eagles, who started the game with a 16-2 run.

Angelo Kouame had 11 points and eight rebounds for Ateneo, which evened its record to 2-2 in the tournament presented by Chooks to Go.
