LYCEUM preserved its perfect record in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup with a 99-90 win over Letran on Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

CJ Perez, finally eligible for the Pirates after his transfer from Ateneo, led Lyceum with an all-around game of 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block.

Jayvee Marcelino added 16 points while Wilson Baltazar and Jasper Ayaay chipped in 14 and 13, respectively, in a fitting follow-up to Lyceum's opening-day win over the Blue Eagles.

"I guess theres no metric to where we are right now. But what I love about this team is we share the ball. Always together is better, that's what we always say," said Lyceum coach Topex Robinson.

Lyceum nearly blew a 21-point lead in the third quarter after Letran pulled within nine, 85-76 behind Rey Nambatac.

But Perez doused the rally before Baltazar drained a triple to put the Pirates back in command, 90-76.

Nambatac erupted with 21 points to go with seven rebounds, and three assists for Letran, which also got 16 points from Maui Bernabe.
