DILIMAN College defeated La Salle, 75-68, recently to capture its first win in the 23rd Fr. Martin Cup summer basketball tournament at the San Beda gym.

Adama Diakhite finished with 33 points to power the Blue Dragons to victory after losing their first two matches in Group A of the seniors division.

Diakhite scored 16 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win for the Rensy Bajar-coached Diliman College.

Brent Paraiso had 16 points, while Jollo Go added 13 points for the Green Archers, who lost their first game after five matches.

In other matches, Ibrahim Outtara had 20 points as University of the Philippines defeated San Beda, 82-78. The Maroons claimed their second straight win in Group B.

In the juniors division, National University beat Emilio Aguinaldo College, 102-76, and Hope Christian High School, 62-57.

University of Santo Tomas defeated Manila Patriotic School, 94-77, to improve its record to 2-2.dil
