La Salle Lipa kicks off NBTC Divison 2 title defense with romp over Isabela Colleges Cauayan

LA Salle Lipa opened its title defense in the Division 2 of the SM-NBTC National High School Championship presented by Freego with a 61-42 victory over Isabela Colleges Cauayan on Monday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Lawrence Platon had 14 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks for La Salle Lipa to start off their campaign in Group 2 of Division 2.

Aeron Lupac had 13 points, while Riley Javier chipped in 12 points for La Salle Lipa, which limited Isabela Colleges Cauayan to only four points in the second period.

Gabriel Felebrico had 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Joshua Felebrico added 11 points and nine rebounds for Isabela Colleges Cauayan.

In other Division 2 games, Kalen Doromal finished with 17 points, while Joshua Barrientos added 16 points as Ateneo de Davao defeated New Ormoc City National High School, 80-33.

Kevin Baranco scored 19 points, Zaldy Patizar contributed 17 points, and St. Robert’s International School Iloilo overcame Jesus the Loving Shepherd Naga, 74-65.

Milo Janao had 27 points as Assumption Montessori School Cagayan De Oro defeated La Finn’s Scholastica La Union, 68-64.

Lance Balancio contributed 27 points and 14 rebounds for La Union.
