CEU-Malolos completes sweep of BCAA juniors, seniors basketball championships
CEU-Malolos players and coaches are joined by Dean Elizabeth Roces after ruling the basketball competition of the Bulacan Colleges Athletic Association (BCAA).

CENTRO Escolar University-Malolos completed a sweep of the seniors and juniors basketball tournament of the fourth Bulacan Colleges Athletic Association (BCAA) after hurdling their counterparts from Jesus Is Lord Colleges Foundation at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.

Alcy Alonday scored 22 points as the CEU-Malolos seniors squad beat JILCF in overtime, 93-88, while Jetro Sta. Ana had 26 points as CEU Integrated School also won over JILCF juniors squad, 77-73, in the a pair of final thrillers.

Jeric Sumampong of CEU-Malolos won the MVP award and was joined by Alonday, Eli Joseph Leguin and RV Jumaquio of JILCF, and Paolo Miguel Andres of STI Balagtas in the Mythical Five.

In the juniors division, Sta. Ana captured the MVP and a place in the Mythical Five along with Lester Ricio of CEU IS, John Vincent Santos and Sean Edrick Sayo of JILCF, and Samuel Peralta of STI Balagtas.

Meantime, Colegio De San Gabriel Arcangel ruled the women’s volleyball tournament, while Bulacan State University captured the men’s volleyball competition.

The fourth staging of the BCAA was part of the sports development program of Malolos City headed by Mayor Christian Natividad and the city’s sports office headed by Toti Villanueva.
