Cebu City-Casino Ethyl Alcohol set to move training camp to Manila after forming core of MPBL team
Kevin Villafranca is set to see action for Cebu CIty-Casino Ethyl Alcohol.

A MIX of veterans and up-and-coming players from the South will form the core of Cebu City-Casino Ethyl Alcohol team in the coming Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

The team has signed 11 of its 18-man roster after practice session on Saturday, according to Omega Pro Sports International's Vice President and team spokesman, Jerome Calatrava.

Already under contract with Cebu City for the MPBL’s second offering that begins on June 12 are former two-time Cesafi MVP Enrico Llanto and former Cesafi Mythical Five awardees John Abad and Kevin Villafranca.

Also on board are guards Harold Cincoflores and Alfred Codilla, wingmen Ian Ortega, Iron Suano and Victor Nunez, forwards JR Puerto and Rhaffy Octobre and big man William McCaloney.

Former PBA players Cesar Catli, Jondan Salvador and Eric Rodriguez will be signed once they arrive in Cebu later this week.

Among those who have yet to be given contracts are point guard John Lloyd Luz, two-guard Franz Arong and power forward Bernie Bregondo.

Former Adamson University Falcon Mark Abadia remains on standby as he resolves a few personal matters, but is also expected to make the roster.

Gilbert Castillo, the former Letran Knight who also briefly played in the PBA, will  be coaching the team.

Casino Ethyl Alcohol will practice a few more weeks in Cebu before moving its training camp to Manila.
