Defending champion Manila West will once again be bannered by Terrence Romeo, Aldrech Ramos, KG Canaleta, and Rey Guevarra, while Manila South will have Jair Igna, Carlo Ortega, Lucky Ecarma, and Joshua Sinclair - all members of the Cebu team that won the Talk ‘N Text Tatluhan national championship.

“We in SBP look forward to fielding competitive teams in the tourney,” said SBP executive director Sonny Barrios in a statement.

“It will be tough since the foreign teams have beefed up their lineups. We are inviting all basketball fans to come and root for our home teams and once again showcase the fighting Pilipino PUSO to the world,” said Barrios.

Abueva competed last year for Manila North with Manuel, Jake Pascual, and Ian Sangalang., but the team was left in rhe shade by the Romeo-led Manila West which shocked Dubai to win the US$10,000 top prize and a spot in the Fiba 3x3 World Tour finals in Japan.
